Back in the 70’s, Giorgio Moroder found the keys of house music in the blend of disco with electronic synthetizers. This new track from the Norwegian duo Röyksopp sounds like a perfect tribute to those origins of techno, with the upbeat rythm that makes you want to jump and vintage pads adding fake deepness to the sexy girl’s voice — the very elements of Moroder’s music that get fragmented in the videoclip with scenes of the 80’s classic Short Circuit as they dance to Saturday Night Fever.
It’s not always easy to make good music using clichés. I don’t know what is it with this kind of sound that really catches me… maybe it’s the robots.
